Peggy L. DeBlois is a writer living in Auburn, Maine with a unique blend of business and academic writing skills. She began her career in journalism at PC Week in Boston, where she was the ghostwriter for the industry gossip columnist, Spencer the Cat, as well as covering financial and accounting software. She later became the Central Maine editor for a Maine business news magazine. Her next profession focused on advertising and public relations copywriting, where she also honed her skills at public speaking and presentation training. A native of Lewiston, Maine, Peggy began writing creatively as a child growing up in a French-Catholic neighborhood. She graduated with honors from Bowdoin College and received numerous public relations and teaching awards when in those respective professions. She participated in the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast Summer Workshop in 2014, working directly with author Susan Conley.
Business clients have used Peggy’s services to write for brochures, print/radio/television ads, portfolios, corporate resumes, and social media. She works with students as a writing tutor, and has helped hundreds of students successfully create their college essays.
Peggy has recently completed a draft of her first novel, and continues to work on both poetry and short stories. She maintains a blog with poetry, essays, and travel diaries here.
