Chasing Maine's Second by Maine writer Michael Norton

Michael Norton

Michael Norton got a newspaper job after college. He learned at the St. Cloud Times in Minnesota that news photographers like to talk like cops and that if you carry a pager people will talk to you. That was the 1980s. No one is going for the pager thing anymore. News reporting took him to Maine where he later worked in government and as a marketing executive. His family ties to Maine date to 1937 when his grandfather bought a near abandoned sporting camp on Great Moose Lake in Hartland, Maine. Chasing Maine’s Second is his first book.
