Michael D. Burke

Michael Burke's nonfiction has appeared in Down East, Yankee, the Boston Globe, The New York Times, Islands, Outside, ArchitectureBoston, and other national and international publications. His books include the adventure/memoir The Same River Twice (University of Arizona Press), and editor of Maine's Place in the Environmental Imagination (Cambridge Scholars Publishing). He received an MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (fiction), and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley (Philosophy). He is Professor of English and Creative Writing at Colby College, and Director of the Creative Writing Program.
