Inspired by my favorite childhood book, Keep Looking! by Joyce Hunt, and my Nana's whimsical artwork, From Nana's Window is my first publication and certainly not my last. With an interest in teaching children how to be wonderful stewards of the environment, bird watching is a good first step and activity to do with friends and family, whether it's outside in your backyard or from inside your window on a rainy day. I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies from Colby-Sawyer College in 2013 and a Master’s of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School in 2014. I grew up on the coast of Maine and equally enjoy my time on the water and in the woods. I always loved identifying the birds in my backyard as a little girl. I have volunteered for the Maine Audubon to conduct their Piping Plover and Least Tern Monitoring Project. I love being outside, walking beaches, hiking mountains, horseback riding, trail running, and observing wildlife and nature.
