The Chapel Ghost by Maine Author Kate Becker

Kate Becker

Kate Becker the publisher/editor of Grande Dame Literary, an online journal that supports women writers, as well as a writer. Her short stories have appeared in the Dillydoun Review and Meat For Tea. Two collections of short stories, Resolve and The Chapel Ghost, were published in 2022.

She has just completed her first novel about a young woman who must overcome self-doubt about pursuing her passions. Her journey takes her from Greenwich Village to Paris where she is catapulted into a world of haute cuisine, haute couture, and a culture that she must either embrace or succumb to.

Kate’s passions are food and travel, and both topics show up in her stories. She is the owner of Bleuberet Artisanal Jams, an award-winning jam company.

Kate lived in Connecticut for many years, just outside of New York City, and spent her summers in Maine. Maine is her home base, and she travels as often as possible, collecting new ideas for stories. Her latest writing project is a series of cozy mysteries with a heavy dallop of romance.

Short stories and musings about writing are posted on her author’s blog. And Grande Dame Literary is always looking for good stories, memoirs, and poems.
