Kari Wagner-Peck, MSW, is the author of the memoir Not Always Happy: An Unusual Parenting Journey published by Central Recovery Press, May, 2017. Reviews of Not Always Happy have appeared in Publishers Weekly and Library Journal.
She is a homeschooling parent, an activist, advocate and a performance storyteller. Her writing has been featured on The New York Times Well Family Blog, The Sydney Morning Herald Daily Life Section, the Huffington Post and the Good Men Project among others.
She is the producer/writer/performer of a staged production also titled Not Always Happy directed by local artist, Bess Welden. Wagner-Peck is a two-time recipient of the Maine Arts Commission Project Grant for Artists and winner of the 2017 PortFringe Pulitzer Award for excellence in writing.
