Jim Nichols

Jim Nichols's novel Closer All The Time won the 2016 Maine Literary Award for Fiction. His previous novel Hull Creek was runner-up for same award in 2012. His short stories have been published widely and have won the Kurt Johnson Memorial Prize for fiction, the WIllamette Fiction Award, a River City Writing Award, an American Fiction Honorable Mention, and an Independent Artists Fellowship from the Maine Arts Commission. His collection Slow Monkeys and Other Stories was published in 2003.

Jim lives in Warren, Maine, with his wife Anne.
