James R. Nelon spent eight years working as a software executive in Hong Kong. During time away from his work schedules, he journeyed solo to the remotest areas of Asia where he wrote stories about those travels. He photographed and produced videos of the peoples and settings he found in the isolated, secluded villages of the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar. The second book in the Pursuing A Dream series of his books, subtitled A Wandering Executive’s Journeys into the Philippines, was just published. This latest installment includes impressions and images of his adventures into eight reclusive, disparate locales in the Philippines. Similar in style and concept to his first Pursuing A Dream book on Indonesia, the author paints a vision of life as it is today in the distant rain forests and jungles of the Philippines. He also has produced a companion series of videos to supplement his experiences while exploring these remote regions. According to “Unusual Travels” Book Reviews of his Indonesia hardcover: “...the book is a valuable look into a faraway culture that seems not of our times.” Viviane Crystal recommends that the reader “pick up this book and enjoy an adventure of a lifetime!”
