Gail Donovan is the author of Finchosaurus, a novel for 7-11-year-olds published by Islandport Press.
Her other titles, all from Penguin, include In Memory of Gorfman T Frog, a New York Public Library Best Books for Children, What’s Bugging Bailey Blecker?, a Horn Book back-to-school recommended title, and The Waffler, a Junior Library Guild selection.
A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College (BA) and Brown University (MA), Gail has worked as a farmer, a potter, and a transcriber of surveillance audiotapes. She now works in the interlibrary loan department of Portland Public Library, facilitating the sharing of books state- and nation-wide.
She lives in Portland, Maine with her family and a cat named for her favorite food, Cookie.
