Crystal Klimavicz is a proud Maine native who grew up in a small coastal town with big city spirit and beautifully rustic beaches close by. She and her husband Tim have two beautiful children, Calum and Claire, as well as two dogs and one fish (though talks of adding a feline to the home can often be heard). Klimavicz rarely sits still, so when she is not crafting a story or being a mom, she loves to head out for a run or play tennis with friends.
For three years, Klimavicz lived as an ex-pat in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she taught cardio kickboxing and pilates to a wonderful group of other ex-pats and served as president of IWCK, the International Women’s Club of Kyiv.
Early on, she began her professional life in sales, but she found that offices and their politics were not for her. She has achieved a master’s in healthcare management from Mercer University, and she has written and taught professional development courses in Atlanta and overseas.
Klimavicz's love of the written word and her own family tragedy pushed her to create Falling Through Trees, her debut novel, over the course of a few years. Crystal’s passion is finding balance between joy and divine grace and the many troubles that are inevitable in our world.
