Charlotte Crowder is a medical writer and an accredited editor by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences. She holds a master’s degree in public health. Trained in the techniques of plain language, Crowder develops easy-to-understand materials for lay audiences that provide a clear explanation of medical terminology and procedures. Her medical publications include the book, Sex Education: A Young Person’s Guide (2012, Need2Know Books, UK), in print and Kindle versions; multiple entries in the 2008 Salem Health: Cancer encyclopedia; and numerous brochures on obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics, including a comprehensive booklet, Caring for your Newborn Baby.
Crowder is available to write or edit materials on a full range of medical topics for either patients or health professionals. She also writes short fiction for adults and children’s books. Her short stories have been published in Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors magazine, The Maine Review, and Boston Literary Magazine.
