Carl H. Johnson is a baseball columnist with the Biddeford Journal Tribune, covering the Red Sox in particular and baseball in general. He is the author of seven books about baseball including his first, From Beer to Beards which chronicles the Red Sox voyage from Worst to First in 2011-2013. His popular series The Baseball Buff's Bathroom Books, Vols. 1-3, each contain 50 essays about major events and players in Major League Baseball, both historical and contemporary. His latest book Life After Big Papi reviews the Red Sox first year without Big Papi and provides insight into the future.
Mr. Johnson graduated the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the International City Managers' Association's Public Administration Program. He has lectured on baseball and its history throughout New England.
