Lydia by Maine writer Brian Willson

Brian Willson

Brian Willson grew up in Austin, where he bounced around the music scene for a while before landing a radio/television/film degree from the University of Texas. In 1980, he moved to Maine and launched a career in radio and print journalism, winning a few Maine Press Association awards along the way.

When not writing, Willson designs typefaces based on historical materials—most notably penmanship from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries (available at www.oldfonts.com). Willson is also an amateur naturalist and avid birder who likes to take pictures of spring warblers.

His first novel, Lydia, was published in 2013.
