Author, and lifelong humanitarian, Sarah Dawn Petrin has been an agent of change since she was fifteen years old. She has worked in 20 countries helping refugees and people affected by war. Through her life’s work, she has found that our humanity is the glue that holds us together.

Sarah is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, where she is a thought leader on human security. She has led operational teams with United Nations agencies, Red Cross, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in conflict zones and disasters. She has advised U.S. government officials and NATO on humanitarian operations, and taught courses at the U.S. Army War College. She lives in Ocean Park, Maine where she is working on a new book.
