Nancy Hayden
Nancy J. Hayden is a writer, artist, ecologist, former environmental engineering professor at the University of Vermont and a life-long learner newly planted in Midcoast Maine. She’s earned degrees in biology/ecology, environmental engineering, English, studio art, and an MFA in creative writing from the Stonecoast Creative Writing Program at the University of Southern Maine. She was awarded a Vermont Arts Council Creation Grant for writing her book Farming on the Wild Side (Chelsea Green Publishing) and has published numerous articles about food and farming. She's also a keen student of World War I history, she recently published The Great Dark, Noir and Horror Stories of World War One. She is currently working on a fantasy novel set in Iron Age Gaul.
